Yet again it has been MONTHS since I wrote a journal entry on here. I tend to shy away from words and let my pictures do most of the talking.
Today I decided to take a little break - an afternoon away from photoshop to lounge about at home and catch up with myself. What I've ended up doing is adding to my scrapbook, working on my website, planning shoots and catching up with the online communities I've been quiet in (like this one!). Clearly I need to work on the whole 'how to take time off' thing...
First of all, I felt it was time to update you all on what has been going on at this end in the year since my last entry.
I've transferred to a new university (yay!) and begun a slightly scary but really fascinating degree in counselling. In May I packed up the little flat I'd been living in for two years and split my belongings (and my life) between just two cities. Going from living completely independently to living with family again is pretty daunting but it has allowed for more time with my loved ones and has made balancing a degree with a photography career a lot easier for the time being! I am now renting my first little office for my photography work, which I share with an accessories designer & illustrator (who just so happens to be an awesome friend, too!). We spent weeks transforming what was once a store room into a white-walled creative space filled with many colourful creations and.............rabbits!! So all in all, things have been and still are pretty busy. A good kind of busy, though - definitely :]
A few weeks back I was gifted with a premium membership by the amazingly talented Laura Marii Photography. Go check out here gorgeous blog here: lauramarii.blogspot.co.uk/&nbs…
I couldn't resist featuring a few of her images below!
While we're at it, I figure it is about time for a few features of some of the wonderful artists around dA! Here goes...
And finally for a bit of shameless self-promotion... here are a few of my favourites of the images I've been creating recently.
